Description The SMART KEY system is a system that allows the user to access and operate a vehicle in a very convenient way. To access the vehicle, no traditional key or remote control unit is needed.
Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the heater and blower unit.(Refer to HA group – heater unit). 3. Remove the blower unit (A) from the heater unit after loosening a mounting bolt and 3 screws. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the blower and duct joints.
Inspection 1. Measure terminal - to - terminal resistance of blower resistor. 2. If measure resistance isnot within specification, the blower resistor must be replaced. Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the crash pad lower cover (A) and then disconnect the connector (B).
