Inspection 1. Ignition "OFF” 2. Disconnect the connector of mode control actuator. 3. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the defrost mode when connecting 12V to the terminal 3and grounding terminal 7.
Inspection 1. Ignition "OFF”. 2. Disconnect the connector of auto defog control actuator. 3. Verify that the auto defog control actuator operates to the defrost ON mode when connecting 12V to the terminal 3 and grounding terminal 7.

Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the passenger compartment junction box cover. 3. Remove the driver side cover (A). 4. Remove the crash pad side switch assembly (A) by pushing it through side cover hole.

Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the heater and blower unit.(Refer to HA group – heater unit). 3. Remove the blower unit (A) from the heater unit after loosening a mounting bolt and 3 screws. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the blower and duct joints.
