Description The Seat Belt Pretensioners (BPT) are installed inside Center Pillar (LH & RH). When a vehicle crashes with a certain degree of frontal impact, the pretensioner seat belt helps to reduce the severity of injury to the front seat occupants by retracting the seat belt webbing.
Removal 1. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning work. 2. The seat belt emergency fastening device (A) be removed after pushing the lock pin (B) as arrow direction.

Inspection 1. Ignition "OFF". 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the actuator operates to the recirculation position when connecting 12V to the terminal 3 and grounding terminal 7. 4. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting in the reverse.
