Removal and Installation 1. Drain engine oil. (Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil") 2. Remove the water center pipe. (Refer to Cooling System - "Water Temperature Control Assembly") 3.
Removal [Lower oil pan] 1. Remove the engine room under cover. (Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover") 2. Drain the engine oil.

Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the heater and blower unit.(Refer to HA group – heater unit). 3. Remove the blower unit (A) from the heater unit after loosening a mounting bolt and 3 screws. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the blower and duct joints.

Inspection 1. Measure terminal - to - terminal resistance of blower resistor. 2. If measure resistance isnot within specification, the blower resistor must be replaced. Replacement 1.
