Description • Torque converter control solenoid valve is a Variable Force Solenoid (VFS) type. • When TCM supplies variable current to solenoid valve, hydraulic pressure of torque converter clutch is controlled by solenoid valve.
Inspection 1. Turn ignition switch OFF. 2. Remove the battery and battery tray. (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery") 3. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector (A).
Replacement 1. Remove the condenser, and then remove the bottom cap (B) with L wrench (A) from the condenser. Tightening torque : 9.8~14.7N.m (1.0~1.5kgf.m, 7.2~10.8 lb-ft) 2. Remove the desiccant (A) from condenser using a long nose plier.
Inspection 1. Ignition "OFF” 2. Disconnect the connector of mode control actuator. 3. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the defrost mode when connecting 12V to the terminal 3and grounding terminal 7. 4. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the vent mode when connecting in the reverse.
