Description Emergency Fastening Device (EFD) operates as well as Belt Pretensioner at the same time If it gets into its deploy condition after a collision.
Removal 1. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning work. 2. The seat belt emergency fastening device (A) be removed after pushing the lock pin (B) as arrow direction.

Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the heater and blower unit.(Refer to HA group – heater unit). 3. Remove the blower unit (A) from the heater unit after loosening a mounting bolt and 3 screws. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the blower and duct joints.
