Description Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) is a component of the evaporative emission control system and is installed on the fuel tank, the fuel pump, or the canister.
Circuit Diagram
Removal 1. If the compressor is marginally operable, run the engine at idle speed, and let the air conditioning work for a few minutes, then shut the engine off. 2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/charging station.
Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/ recycling/ charging station. 3. When the engine is cool, drain the engine coolant from the radiator. 4. Remove the expansion valve cover (A).
