| Removal |

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |

Remove the passenger compartment junction box cover. |

Remove the driver side cover (A).

Remove the crash pad side switch assembly (A) by pushing it through side cover hole.

Disconnect the connector (A) from lower crash pad switch.
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install the lower crash pad switch. |
| 2. |
Install the driver side cover. |
| 3. |
Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| Inspection |
| 1. |
Disconnect the BSD switch connector.
|
| 2. |
Operate the BSD switch, then check for continuity between terminals of BSD switch connector.

Oil Specification 1. The HFC-134a system requires synthetic (PAG) compressor oil whereas the R-12 system requires mineral compressor oil. The two oils must never be mixed. 2. Compressor (PAG) oil varies according to compressor model. Be sure to use oil specified for the model of compressor.
